Dungeons & Dragons: Hope Among Thieves (2023)

Adapted from a board game, the movie was a new take on the 2000 film Dungeons & Dragons that didn’t fare so well at the box office. The film embarks on an adventure as the protagonist Elgin, played by Chris Pine, tries to pull out a heist of his lifetime. Moreover, Sophia Lillis is in a prominent role in the movie. IT (2017)

One of the best horror movies of 2017, IT is an adaptation of Stephen King’s book of the same name. The first attempt for a live action of the movie was taken as a miniseries for television. However, that didn’t make as much buzz as the 2017 IT. Its massive success helped it get a sequel with IT 2. Moreover, the story follows six friends of Derry who team up to fight evil. It didn’t make as big an impact on the box office as one would expect. But, it certainly highlighted Lillis’s acting capabilities.
